Celebrating Over a Century of Carriage Roads

Thank you to everyone who joined us on December 9th, at the Rockefeller Playhouse. Clare Pierson (Friends President 2007-2017) and Tommy Capossela (Director of Grounds for the Greenrock Corporation) were honored, for their life long dedication and commitment to the Preserve. William Krattinger, from the office of NY State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation gave an impressive talk, on the historic significance of the carriage road system and his work to have it listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places.

The Silent Auction was a success, featuring original art by Mary Louise Pierson and Steven Rockefeller Jr., dinner at Blue Hill and a carriage drive in the Preserve.

We would like to gratefully acknowledge our honorary co-chairs Ann R. Rockefeller, the Lanza Family Foundation and the Westchester Community Foundation, as well as our community sponsors, Phelps Hospital, Edge on Hudson and Andrea Martone of Houlihan Lawrence.
