Amble & Gamble

Our annul Amble & Gamble equestrian event is set for October 1, 2017. The marked trail ride will feature a new course for 2017 and a delicious catered lunch. As always, the lunch is open to non-riders and the community is welcome! A truly unique way to experience Rockwood Hall, enjoy a catered buffet lunch, the view and the horses!

Highlighting Rockefeller Park Preserve’s legendary lore, go beyond the Headless Horsemen and learn the tale of Mother Hulda, Witch’s Spring and Spook Rock. 2017 Course Map

Optional Card Game Component
5 Card Stud and Five Card Draw! Interested riders can participate in our card game.
Riders will be given a ticket, to be punched at up to five points throughout the course.
All riders will get 5 cards and for each of the punches on their ticket, choose to draw additional cards to better their poker hand.
All hands must by drawn by 1:30pm. Prizes given to the top five hands. You do not have to be present to win.

Important Reminders
There are sections with 2 way horse traffic and you MUST walk in designated areas.
Riders must ask permission before passing another horse, please do so courteously and cautiously.
We ask for your cooperation in leaving dogs at home for this event.
Water is not available. Please bring water and buckets.
Riders are responsible for cleaning up manure and hay from the area around their trailer.
An ASTM/SEI helmet is required for all riders. No exceptions.
