Project Description:
Would you like to help out with habitat restoration at Rockefeller State Park Preserve? We will be pulling out invasive garlic mustard and privet alongside Swan Lake and Overlook trail. Removing invasive species will make way for the growth of many native plants and wildflowers. The Park receives hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and the work done by volunteers on I Love My Parks Day will showcase the impact that natural resource management can provide for the Park. Please wears boots and suitable clothing. Please bring gloves if you have them. This is a family-friendly event. Capable children under supervision of a parent or guardian can participate. Groups are also welcome! Water, snacks and free I Love My Park Day t-shirts for everyone, bring a bag lunch if you like.
