Hulda’s Night tells the 1776 story of an old woman who fought and died as a patriot in the Revolutionary War. Some said she was a witch, others said she we was a skilled, but misunderstood, healer of Bohemian origin. What we know is that Hulda was a real person and she lived along what is today called “Witch’s Spring Trail” within our Preserve. She was laid to rest in the historic Old Dutch Church burial ground in Sleepy Hollow.
