The honoree for the Friends 2024 Gala will be
NYS Senate President Pro Tem & Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
She will receive the John D. Rockefeller Park Preservation Award for her tremendous work in supporting parks throughout New York State.

Funds raised by the 2024 Gala will go towards the continuing revitalization of Rockwood Hall. The Gala celebrates the Friends ongoing endeavors since 1996, to protect and maintain the Rockefeller State Park Preserve. We are looking forward to focusing our efforts on the Rockwood Hall section of the Park Preserve.

Rockwood Hall is known for its rich history and unique location. As a private home for generations, the foundation and stone gatehouse are all that remain today of what was once a grand mansion. Its spectacular Hudson River views, rare specimen trees, and proximity to the neighboring community have made it a highly popular destination and the Friends are excited to begin planning for robust improvements, including amenities for the public, a designated entry in keeping with the location’s history and landscaping that will have a positive environmental impact.

Friends of the Rockefeller State Park

The Friends of Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Inc. is located in Sleepy Hollow, New York. The Friends was established in 1996 to encourage public participation in protecting the Preserve’s wildlife and habitat, sustaining its historical and archaeological features, and maintaining its unique system of carriage roads.

Friends of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
