Membership

Friends of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve has members from all over the world. The tax deductible gifts from our Friends fund the ongoing maintenance of the historic carriage roads as well as projects large and small throughout the Preserve.  Annual memberships begin at $25.

Donate

Open Donation

Some Friends choose to make a donation, in lieu of membership.  Donations can be made in any amount and are fully tax-deductible.  

Become a sustaining supporter with a reoccurring monthly donation.

A 1,200 feet section of David's loop was refurbished by the friends in 2018. Drain swales redefined, roadsides shaped, new surface material added, graded & compacted and New grass seed sown.

Membership and donation funds have made the following accomplishments possible:

  • Storm damage clean up and tree removal.

  • Redefining of drain swales, shaping roadsides and resurfacing sections of David's Loop.

  • Clearing fallen trees.

  • Clearing and repairing over 4,000 linear feet of drains and swales along Big Tree, Peggy’s Way, Eagle Hill, 13 Bridges, Pocantico River, Brook Trail and David’s Loop in 2016.

  • The planting of various native species to enliven the Visitor Center courtyard during the winter.

  • Seasonal mowing of pastures, carriage roadsides and blowing of leaves.

  • Maintenance and repair of the stone and wooden bridges.

  • Promotion of conservation of the Preserve’s natural features, habitats, and wildlife.

  • Promotion of educational programs.
