Parking: Rockefeller State Park Preserve main entrance, 125 Phelps Way (Rte. 117), Pleasantville, NY.
Baggage: There is no official bag drop. We’re a homey style race so a lot of people leave their jackets/extra layers with their families/friends or by the side of the trail. Seems to work pretty well. Please NO VALUABLES – stash those in your locked car or carry them with you.
The race start and finish is a short walk from the parking lot, you’ll see signs and can follow the crowd.
Refreshments, vendors, and awards will be up at the parking lot. We’ll try to have results posted as soon as they come in both down at the race start/finish and up at the parking lot.
Coming from out of town? Start your day with the race and then stick around for the all our area has to offer. October is Sleepy Hollow's premier month! Horsemen's Hollow, The Old Dutch Church and Sleepy Hollow Cemetery to name just a few attractions.

If you are new to the Preserve…expect some beautiful scenery but don’t expect a PR. The first mile is uphill and provides a nice warm up. But the scenery, enthusiastic volunteers and cheering spectators will give you the strength you need!
Awards: Top three male and female, plus age groups.
Team competition: Pretty simple. Lowest total time wins, and so forth 3 deep in the 4 team categories. Teams of two in all male, all female, coed and coed century (both people must have a total age of 100 or more).
Why run the 5K? The Preserve is a world class running destination, that you can run in, for free, 365 days a year. Twice a year (Rocky’s 5K in October and the Rockwood Ramble 10K in June), we host events to give runners a very easy way to actively participate in supporting the Preserve. ALL PROCEEDS GO TOWARDS CARRIAGE ROAD MAINTENANCE. Keeping the trails open, safe and well maintained is a never ending job, your entry fee makes a difference!
Unfortunately, no refunds. However you can transfer your bib to another runner, or defer to the following year. Please contact email@example.com
We love babies and pets, but they'll have to sit this one out - no jogging strollers or dogs. But we encourage them to spectate and cheer everyone on.
FRSPP reserves the right to change the details of the event, including delaying, cancelling or suspending the race due to inclement weather or other potential safety risks. Participants must retire from the race if ordered to do so by event officials, medical staff or any governmental authority, including firefighters and police officers.
